How important is sleep?
Sleep
Children are so busy during the day, they benefit from a good night’s sleep that helps to replenish energy stores. A good night’s sleep helps to support the immune system and well as helping them feel more rested and able to perform throughout the day.
It is important to establish a consistent bedtime. It is recommended that your child engage in relaxing, non-stimulating activities prior to bedtime.
How Much Sleep Is Enough?
When Kids are They Need….
Up to 2 months 10.5 to 18 hours
3 to 12 months 9.5 to 14 hours
1 to 3 years 12 to 14 hours
3 to 5 years 11 to 13 hours
5 to 12 years 10 to 11 hours
